Schießen für Jesus

Kein Witz, keine islamistische Propaganda!

Ein Hersteller von Zielgeräten für amerikanische Kampfgewehre schreibt Bibelreferenzen auf diese Rohre. Ein Bericht von ABC News:

One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Foto: ABC Hier sieht man eine Referenz auf Johannes 8.12, “which reads: Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (King James Version)

Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as “the light of the world.” John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Trijicon confirmed to ABCNews.com that it adds the biblical codes to the sights sold to the U.S. military. Tom Munson, director of sales and marketing for Trijicon, which is based in Wixom, Michigan, said the inscriptions “have always been there” and said there was nothing wrong or illegal with adding them. Munson said the issue was being raised by a group that is “not Christian.” The company has said the practice began under its founder, Glyn Bindon, a devout Christian from South Africa who was killed in a 2003 plane crash.

“The really frustrating part about all of this, is that soldiers will have to turn in scopes so the little inscription could be removed. Thousands of scopes with armorers dedicating valuable time to this idiotic task, when instead they could be working on more important tasks like changing out barrels or tuning up weapons. Ridiculous.”

Frau Käßmann orientiert sich offensichtlich, wie andere moderne Christen auch, am Frühchristentum. Dazu gehört das Recht zum Freien Fabulieren™. Denn merke: Glaube nichts, was du nicht frei erfunden hast!

“So I can hear it now – the First Sergeant says, ‘Okay. Instead of practicing room clearing exercises, today and tomorrow we have a work party at the armory to remove certain inscriptions on your ACOGs.’ Rather than training to do your job and save your life, you spend your time making somebody happy who has nothing to do with any of this. The dude who is worried about this needs to find something else to do with his life”
