[Kisses] can be scary, and overwhelming. Especially for the first time. Especially as a teenager. But then again, it never really gets easier. There is always that fear of rejection. It’s always an unexpected journey. Anything can happen. A kiss is just a kiss, but when it’s for the first time, it can feel like a big deal. […] I’m hoping to express something vulnerable in my films, and find simplicity and clarity in my expression. […] I wanted the film to be a subjective, and internal monologue, inspired by the intimacy of John Lennon’s lyrics. But most importantly, I wanted to prove to myself that it’s possible to tell a story visually—without any dialogue, by purely capturing small details.
