They genuinely believe that every country without a Starbucks suffers from some various array of strange cultural backwardness and always at astronomically high percentages. Sometimes I wonder if the 3rd world was put there simply to garner their sympathies, something to talk about over espresso with friends or a cause to put on fliers and post in University hallways.
